Building a vibrant LGBTQIA2S+ Christian community in Vancouver, one rainbow at a time.
Building a vibrant LGBTQIA2S+ Christian community in Vancouver, one rainbow at a time.
We are an itinerant community of LGBTQ+ Christians and friends to our community. We meet up about once a week to have meals together, play games, visit affirming churches together, and explore the city together.
We are fully LGBT-affirming. We are fully trans-affirming.
We are neurodivergent-affirming and welcoming of all bodies.
We are non-proselytizing. You're welcome just as you are, and you can participate as much or as little as you like.
"Rainbow" stands for the LGBTQIA2s+ community.
"Plus" stands for St. Brigid's cross (more on St. Brigid’s later) and also stands for all the friends to our community who may not identify as LGBTQIA2S+ or as Christians.
"Nomads" is our reminder that we are all
fellow travelers in this life. We acknowledge our interdependence with one another and we are thankful for people's hospitality wherever we encounter it.
Some of us met at St. Brigid’s community when it was pastored by Reverend Marnie Peterson, and later, by Reverend Clare (Cal) Morgan. We continue to be inspired by the spirit of generosity and radical inclusivity that we’ve experienced with these two ministers and we would like to carry it forward.
